One of the better known self-taught, or outsider, artists from the Northwest, Annie's work is sought after by collectors of outsider and contemporary art from across the country. Her books, pages covered in mixed media collaged "faces", are prime examples of her work. Her larger paintings on canvas or puzzles and wood and surf boards also hold "faces", portraits of "people from the inside out", incorporating puzzle pieces and other media with wonderfully textured results. Annie's drawings are dense, with very fine pen work, and are of dark and mysterious faces and scenes. |

Michael deMeng
My work is about transformations. It is about the transformation of the common into the sacred. Discarded materials find new and unexpected uses in my work; they are reassembled and conjoined with unlikely components, a form of rebirth from the ashes into new life and new meaning. These assemblages are metaphors for the evolutions and revolutions of existence: from life to death to rebirth, from new to old to renewed, from construction to destruction to reconstruction. These forms are examinations of the world in perpetual flux, where meaning and function are ever-changing. |

Zura Ledbetter
Zura Ledbetter has a B.S. in occupational therapy. It isn't widely known that along with all the medical courses, an O.T. degree requires many art courses as well. Along with those art courses, Zura has had private training in charcoal and oils. But Zura's real
love is collage! Collage allows Zura to take all the random thoughts in my mind and translate them to the canvas into meaningful images. While a lot of her work makes a statement of some sort, some of it is just for fun, and some can't be explained except the muse just dictated it.
Zura is single and lives in a lovely artist's loft in Tulsa, OK. I have two grown sons, and two adorable grandsons that live in TX.

My Art is about the Magic of Making Art
...the how, the why, the what, even the where has unending fascination for me. My work reflects my life. My family is always present in my art. In the irregularity of my stitches when my five year old is next to me bouncing in time to Mozart. In the spontaneity of a stolen moment to adjust a composition. In the unexpected color combinations I find after the girls have had a go at my fabric stash. |

Lynn Whipple is a Florida native and shares her life with her husband and fellow artist, John, and their two cats.
I am a mixed media artist in every sense of the word. I draw, paint, collage, sew, dip things in wax, journal and use found objects in assemblage. I relish the search for interesting items and have always been fascinated by history, old books, lost letters, worn fabrics, family photographs, wooden boxes and odd pieces of memorabilia. My process is to surround myself with all these found items and play. My work may be playful or serious, simple or complex, large or small.
